The phrase "What time
does the Super Bowl start?" is one of the top things Google searched on
Super Bowl Sunday. How drunk and lazy does a person have to be to
search the internet for this answer? Why be willing to weed through spam
and misinformation when you can just check your damn TV? I don't get
it. I think we're all waiting for Google to just live stream television
we're searching for. Till then you'll have to go through the pain of
just checking the actual device you're going to end up watching the damn
game on.
The Super Bowl is usually on around the same time it is every
year, toward night time on Sunday. They're not going to screw with
you and play the game at 9 AM as a prank. Why don't people know this? Then again most
people get so drunk during the Super Bowl they probably have no memory
of what happened the last few times anyway, aside from the talking
babies.
Anyone who's ever seen a Super Bowl knows that the
channel covering it spends the entire day broadcasting hype about it
from the previews and sneak peeks to predictions to the pre-game singing
performances, to the pre-game show, to the unveiling of the American
flag to the singing of God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner,
and player introductions, until eventually the actual game gets played.
And if by some chance you're not willing to sit through all that and you
want to just know when the real game starts then chances are you don't
really care all that much about the Super Bowl experience so why do you
really want to know in the first place? If you want to see it, you'll
see it and if you don't, stop bullshitting yourself.
