It is widely known that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was a ringside guest at Pacquiao-Marquez IV and made it a point to meet with Manny Pacquiao before the fight to give him a "pep talk".
"Hello Manny. I ran for president. I lost," Romney told the fighter, according to Pacquiao publicist Fred Sternburg.
Pacquiao was then subsequently knocked out in the 6th round. What kind of pep talk was that? Why didn't he meet with Marquez before the fight? Was he working with Floyd "Money" Mayweather to help destroy Pacquiao and quiet the demand for a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight? Or does Mitt just have really bad luck? Either way I'll bet he's kicking himself for not giving President Obama a pep talk before the election. If Romney is indeed cursed then there's a chance he can still use it. The Romney pep talk may be a very important thing to look for in 2016 when the field of Presidential candidates is narrowing down. Does Romney even know he has this power? Will he continue to wield it? Or was this just one last way for him to get back at a PAC-man?
