Dumbass Sayings: “Politicians and Diapers Must Be Changed Often and For The Same Reason”

Mark Twain once said “Politicians and diapers must be changed often and for the same reason.” This is a nice way of saying politicians are full of shit, but I don’t think it fully works as an analogy. Yes politicians are liars and the longer they stay in office the worse they get, however, you’d be foolish to assume that the next politician you elect is going to be a fresh diaper. In almost every case before a politician is elected into office they’re already full of shit. In most cases they’ve packed their diaper full of shit from every lobbyist and corporation that helped them get newly elected. So when you take off one shitty diaper and slap on a new one all you’re doing is putting a fresh strain of bacterial crap on the baby’s ass. In some scenarios the shit filled diaper you have on is better than the one you don’t have on. At least you can feel like it’s your shit. Would you really take off a shitty diaper to put on another that was crapped into by someone else? Yes, your shit is bad, but at least you’re immune to that e.coli already. It’s a lesser of two evils situation. The real question is when are we going to wisen up, learn how to use a toilet, and start flushing some of this shit away?
