If he lives, this guy is technically "working out" here. |
People like to say “Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” but that’s not really true at all. If you think it’s true then why not have someone strike you in the back of the skull with a steel pipe. It won’t kill you, but you will end up in a coma for quite awhile. You will suffer severe brain damage and your body will waste away as you lay in a state of vegetation for months to years. When you awake you will definitely NOT be stronger. You will have to relearn how to speak, feed yourself, and walk. When all of that is done you will be grateful to be a shell of your former self. Just to regain some quality of life would be a great achievement. You will NOT be better off than you were before the pipe incident. Even if you’re one of these people who gets severe brain trauma and then can smell colors and visually see music, that’s not “stronger”. It’s a nice consolation and maybe it can even result in a nice new hobby or career, but you’re definitely not strengthened physically or emotionally.
