Dear McFartnuggets:
Hey there! Can bacteria from my anus cause Pink Eye? Look forward to your answer. Thanks! -- Stephanie from Cape May, New Jersey

Dear Stephanie:
So you want to know if your brown eye can cause pink eye. The answer is YES. “Pink eye” otherwise known as “Conjunctivitis” is an inflammation or infection of the eye so it’s a pretty general condition. Basically as long as your eye is pink, you have Conjunctivitis so yeah, anal bacteria would likely cause an infection. If you notice any pus or discharge that’s a sure sign you’ve infected the eye with your ass bacteria. You may want to see a doctor about getting some topical antibiotics especially if it doesn’t clear up after about four days. If you have Chlamydia or Gonorrhea you’re going to want to see a doctor about that as soon as you can because you’ll likely require an oral antibiotic as well to fight the disease. Thanks for the question and try to keep assy things away from your eyeballs.
