Ask McFartnuggets: “Why Should You Have To Wash Your Hands in a Public Bathroom?”

It's more important to not
touch anything in the bathroom
 than to wash your hands.
Dear McFartnuggets:
People always make a big deal about washing your hands after you use a public bathroom, but why should you wash your hands if you’re just going to have to touch the door handle to leave that everyone else touched without washing their hands? Once you touch the door to leave you’re basically contaminating yourself with dick and poo germs from everyone else’s hands. Washing your hands after you use the bathroom only helps if everyone does it and since someone’s always going to not do it, there’s really no point is there? -- Sully from Huntington Beach, California

Dear Sully:
Yeah the trick is to not touch the door handle on your way out. It’s best to use your foot and try to pull the door open with the tip of your shoe. This is a very tricky move though it takes a lot of practice and balance. If you mess this up and fall you’ll end up covered in bathroom shit bacteria and it’ll defeat the entire purpose. It honestly doesn’t matter if you wash your hands though, it’s a matter of personal preference. Someone not washing their hands has no impact on you if you open doors with your feet. Once you touch a bathroom door handle with your bare hands you negate washing them so you should always be opening the door with your foot. Just be careful that no one’s coming in while you’re doing that or you could end up severely injuring yourself.
