Dumbass Saying: “You Can Lead A Horse To Water But You Can’t Make Him Drink”

You can lead a horse to Hydrochloric Acid,
but you can't make it drink!
There’s a saying that “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink” which basically means you can’t force stubborn people to do things even if it’s for their own good. This saying is flawed though because you CAN make a horse drink after you lead it to water. All you have to do is wait for it to get thirsty. A horse isn’t going to stand there dying of thirst when there’s water right in front of it. Most non-special needs horses will go ahead and drink up after awhile.

The solution to this saying is patience. If you’re trying to teach someone and they’re being stubborn, just be patient with them. Even if you led a vegan to a pot roast you could make her eat eventually. You’d just have to wait until the vegan was about to die of starvation and there’s a good chance she would cave in and finally eat. If you led a nudist to a clothing store they’d eventually put something on once winter rolled around. It’s all about patience.
