Dumbass Sayings: “It’s 10 PM, Do You Know Where Your Children Are?”

The last time I saw them
they were at the airport.
Sometimes during the nighttime news your TV will say “It’s 10 PM, do you know where your children are?” Well what does the location of my children have to do with the time? You should always know where your children are! It’s not like up until 10 PM it’s okay to have no idea where your children are. Another problem I have with this is what if your children were just kidnapped or had died recently? How hurtful is that phrase to someone who’s lost their children and can never get them back? They’re just sitting around watching the news trying to take their mind off of the horror of losing their offspring and this jackass voice on the television mocks them right in their face! That’s the negative side of this saying, so what’s the positive? I don’t believe there is one. No one hears that while not knowing where their children are and decides enough is enough and they should start being a good parent at 10 PM that night. All this saying does is hurt people. It might not hurt everyone, but think about those few people it is hurting. Stop to consider that for a second, NEWS. It’s called empathy!
