Dumbass Sayings: "Imitation is the Highest/Best Form of Flattery"

A lot of people are in the habit of saying "Imitation is the highest form of flattery", but that's cattle feces. If imitation is the best way to flatter someone then why are you not allowed to imitate people with deformities and other handicaps? The definition of flattery is "to flatter" and the definition of flatter is "to try to please by complimentary remarks or attention." So the BEST way to flatter someone would be through compliments.

What people don't realize is that the English cleric Charles Caleb Colton was credited with saying "Imitation is the sincerest (form) of flattery" and that phrase has been perverted into "imitation is the highest/best form of flattery". Colton's saying is more accurate because the compliments that people can use to flatter someone do not have to be sincere or truthful. Therefore, simply imitating someone may very well be the most sincere way to compliment someone.

I'm here to correct both sayings to create a better one to be used in the future and that is "Masturbation is the sincerest and highest form of flattery." If someone's masturbating to you that is the highest compliment that can be paid. I don't know why women at the bus stop have an issue with this. I'm FLATTERING THEM. Calm down! Put down your preconceived notions about what's acceptable in society and think about the origin of the thought that the masturbator is having. To them you are the world at that very moment and nothing is more important not even the respect of state laws. In the end, isn't that at the very heart of what love is?
